During a 29-year consultancy journey that has taken me from Mauritius to the four corners of the world, it has been my good fortune to have consistently worked with smart, talented and inspiring business people. Although operating in diverse sectors ranging from industrial goods to financial services, they have nonetheless been united by their fundamental desire to acquire the personal and professional skill sets as leaders to lead their people in complex situations through times of change. It could be argued that there has rarely been a greater need for such skills as now demanded by the current business climate. A climate in which the ability to challenge, inspire and empathise, to adapt in the face of change, and to conduct oneself with honesty and authenticity, has never been more valuable to the bottom line.
